Curtis Conway career statistics
Last year, Curtis Conway had 116 rushing yards and one rushing TD, making 18 rushing fantasy points. Not bad for a 30-year-old.

The way I see it, this is just one more minor mark against Conway, who I think has to be the player least likely to match his 2001 numbers in 2002. Curtis has always been a pretty good rusher for a WR, but does anyone expect him to get 116 rushing yards (on the strength of 16.6 yards per rush) and a TD next year? In his previous eight seasons, he averaged 36 rushing yards and no TDs. Assuming he goes back to that level, he's lost 14 fantasy points before we even start talking about whether he can repeat his near-career-best receiving numbers.
But Conway doesn't have to repeat his 2001 numbers to represent good value. He was #12 last year among WRs and as of this writing (mid-July), the consensus has him ranked around #30 for this year. He'll probably be a bit lower than that on my board, but not much.
