WARNING
I've got a busy week ahead, so Chase will be taking over for some/most of the upcoming week.
Chase hates the Patriots.
Chase really, really hates the Patriots.
He has been ordered to use the "rant" categorization instead of trying to pretend like he's doing honest analysis. P-f-r.com management --- which also hates the Patriots, but only the normal amount --- will not be held responsible for anything he might say.

Why does the p-f-r management hate the Patriots and their modern dynasty?
No real reason. Certainly no good reason.
Actually, I think I might like this team a little had 2001 not happened. I'm not sure if it's the fans, the media, the players, or just my perception, but the feeling I got following the 2001 SB was very different from other teams.
Rams buzz: "we won because we've got speed, speed, speed, and a crazy cool offensive scheme."
Ravens buzz: "we're kickin' it old school with the best D of all time and a smashmouth running game. Woo Hoo."
Bucs buzz: "no, our defense is the best of all time, and our O ain't bad either."
Patriots 2001 buzz: "we won because WE ARE MORALLY SUPERIOR HUMAN BEINGS!"
It's one thing to say that luck is part of the game and that they earned the championship fair and square. It's another to not even acknowledge that some lucky breaks did in fact occur. The 2003 team was a very good team in a conference full of very good teams. The 2004 team was a great team in a conference full of very good teams. But 2001 just sticks in my craw.
I totally understanding random hate for teams / athletes especially the over exposed. I feel that way about Farve..
Here is the thing, i don't think the pats feel they are morally superior but rather more intelligent. Which, since they only have 1 pro-bowl player and only a better than average QB(according to the rant) they are. They might lose to the Colts this week, the colts are the better team for sure. But if you think Peyton Manning is a better QB in the playoffs than Brady you're freak'n nuts.

Morally superior?
If you want to hate the media overall or the fan-base of a team, because of their attitudes, that's fine, as a Patriots fan, I have no problem with you hating Patriot fans or Media Hype-ers.
But don't insult individual fans or media members who haven't done, said or thought anything reprehensible. and especially don't hate he team itself.
As an analogy: It's okay to dislike Bush for sending troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, but don't dislike the troops themselves.
And yes I pay more attention to my teams and follow them more closely when they're winning,
so do 90%(made up stat, but It emphasizes my point better than 'most' or 'a lot') of all fans of all teams.
