Trivia time
Who are the top five players in AFL/NFL history in terms of total receptions up to and including their age 24 season?
No fair looking it up. Honor system.
One of them is easy, another is easy to guess if you read the comments to yesterday's post. Two I probably would have guessed eventually if you gave me enough tries. One I never would have gotten.

The easy one is Larry Fitz. He's still going isn't he, not yet 24?
Tony G from yesterday and Randy Moss has got to be in there as I know he left Marshall as a Junior.
I then made 10 guesses and looked them up and am pretty sure I got one right but I won't post it as I obviosuly cheated.
Its hard. I know plenty of receivers who came in and made an immmediate impression eg. Boldin, but weren't extremely young when they joined the league. I'm not a big enough college/draft fan to know who was 21 in their rookie season.
Anquan Boldin, Randy Moss, Torry Holt, Charley Hennigan (I may not have the name right--that old AFL receiver with the Oilers)...that's all I can guess right now. For a fifth, what the heck, how about Lance Alworth.
Pacifist Viking has one out of five correct.
Paul named two correct answers in his post.
Andre Rison
Tony Gonzalez
Jerry Rice
Marvin Harrison
Anquan Boldin
Vince has one correct.
Larry Fitzgerald
Randy Moss
Keyshawn Johnson
Tony Gonzalez
Torry Holt
boston boldin tomlinson, monk, ricky sanders
Ken got two.
Moss was the easy one.
Gonzo is the one you should have guessed if you read the comments to yesterday's post.
monkeytime just got two more: Tomlinson and David Boston.
That only leaves the real toughie.
just looked up ricky sanders BOY WAS I WAY OFF.
I doubt that this will format correctly, but here are the top 10, minus the yet-to-be-named #3 guy.
And yes, Fitzgerald will be #1 or #2 on this list next year.
what the hell is "jig-a-loo"? Is that a real product? It can't be.
kw(1)?
Tomlinson was a very clever guess. I never would have thought of that one.
Moss, Gonzo and Fitz would have been the first three names to come to my mind. Gonzo only because he was mentioned before.
Vince, if Marvin Harrison were in the top five on Doug's list, he'd have Jerry Rice's records easily within reach. The only reason he's behind Rice is because he was a slow starter.
Koren Robinson? Wow.
How about Andre Johnson?
Jason Witten is the missing guy
(Witten with 252)
Al Toon?
I wouldn't have thought of Tomlinson but I did look up Edgerrin James, who wasn't far off. Steven Jackson had 90 receptions last year, if he repeated that figure this year he could squeeze into the top 5 as well.
Andre Johnson was another pick but came up a little short.
That's pretty impressive, since his best season was only 87 catches.
i think it is marvin harrison. by the way tomlinson was a tough one congratz to those who guessed it
I will try to leave some trivia and probably will ask some trivia questions later.
For now, yahoo said the largest loss by Buffalo was by 43 points in 1970 prior to yesterday's loss to NE. They are correct on the margin. The Buffalo Bills lost to the Baltimore Colts 43-0, but it was in 1971.
Is it Isaac Curtis?
