One can look at teams’ no-nos in several ways: the number of offenses to the rules and the total penalty yardage afforded to the perpetrating team. In this section, we will look at the number of yellow hankies teams have had in a single season and identify the worst of the bunch in NFL history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need to understand a few things … we will only consider penalties that have been accepted and enforced in regular-season contests, and we will be mindful that the NFL has had seasons of varying lengths over the years.
