2023 NFL Honors: List of 2022-2023 NFL Awards Winners
Posted by Darin Hayes on July 7, 2023
A long-standing tradition in the National Football League is to honor the people performing to the highest standard in their jobs. Officially known as the NFL Honors, winners receive not only the prestige that comes with recognition but also a nice piece of hardware. The 2022 NFL Honors were announced after the season ended, and we want to help celebrate the people that stood out for what they do for football’s top professional organization. Here is a look at all NFL awards from 2022.
Coaching
The leaders of men, the head coaches, have a few honors handed out each season. Here are the results of who won Coach of the Year NFL.

Coach Ryans was a great player in his own right before becoming a coach. As a linebacker with the Texans and the Eagles, he showed strong leadership skills, and those transferred to life after he hung up the cleats. As the Defensive Coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers, Ryans’s stalwarts earned the ranking of the number one defense in the NFL for the 2022 season. It is no small wonder that one of his former employers, Houston, hired Ryans as their head coach for the 2023 season.
AP & PFWA Coach of the Year

Brian Daboll
Brian Daboll
Born:
April 14, 1975
in Welland, Ontario
College: Rochester
The rookie head coach of the New York Giants impacted this team and the NFL during the 2022 season. Coach Daboll took the G-Men to the NFC playoffs for the first time in years and helped elevate the team’s play in all three phases of the game. Daboll may have had the leading role for the first time in the League, but he cut his teeth as an assistant with the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Buffalo Bills. A pretty nice resume to train a head coach with!
Sporting News Coach of the Year

Sean McDermott
Sean Michael McDermott
Born:
March 21, 1974
in Omaha, NE
College: William & Mary
High School: La Salle College (PA)
The Buffalo Bills once again were one of the top teams in the NFL in 2022, and their sideline boss, Coach McDermott, is a big reason. The Bills, who sported an 11-6 record in 2021, increased their win percentage with a stellar 13-3 record in the AFC East for 2022.
You can’t go wrong with these two choices for Coach of the Year in the NFL for 2022. But what about the folks in the front office? Don’t worry; there is an award merited for them too.
PFWA Executive of the Year
The offseason moves of the Philadelphia Eagles worked quite well. One of the main people responsible for that was Executive Vice President of Football Operations and Franchise General Manager Howie Roseman. The Eagles were just above .500 in 2021 but had the top record in football at 14-3 a season later and battled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

You knew the other starting QB in Super Bowl LVII would be recognized too! Jalen Hurts was almost unstoppable in the Philadelphia Eagles’ super-charged offense in 2022. The Eagles were 14-1 in regular season games Number 1 started, and if it weren’t for a midseason injury, who knows what he could have done. His 22 passing plays for scores were complimented by the baker’s dozen touchdowns that Jalen rushed for. Truly a dual-threat signal caller that the other NFL teams will have to contend with.

Geno threw for 30 TDs and had the highest completion rate of any quarterback to become the NFL comeback player of the year 2022.
